Meet Kim Donaldson

Founder of Kim Larsen

Since childhood, Kim has loved being outdoors. In her photography, collage, and jewelry, she has incorporated images or objects from nature to show their intrinsic beauty. That passion, combined with travel around the world and a love of history, led Kim to experiment with making jewelry using natural objects such as twigs, vines, seeds, and lichen, as well as found objects such as antique buttons and glass intaglios.

She started her company in 2022 with a goal of creating her own unique brand of handmade jewelry, full of color and texture. Working in 22k and 18k gold, and sterling silver she creates compellingly simple pieces using metal, gems and semi-precious stones, hand-carved shapes, and found objects. With a commitment to sustainability, she uses and reuses responsibly-sourced gold, silver, gemstones, and various other materials.

All pieces are made in New York City, where Kim lives with her husband, two sons, and a dog. They also spend time in the woods and by the lake in Waccabuc, NY.
